Senate Bill 216 - Senate Bill 216, also known as the Ohio Public School Deregulation Act - was also approved by both the House and Senate. The most crucial provision for charter schools is the change in the number of consecutive hours a charter school student misses before that student is automatically withdrawn. READ MORE...

House Bill 512 Update - Legislation was recently introduced in the Ohio House of Representatives aimed at streamlining and improving the Buckeye State’s education-to-workforce pipeline. House Bill 512 would combine the work of the Ohio Departments of Education and Higher Education and the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation -- assigning it to a newly created Ohio Department of Learning and Achievement.
